Oriflame Indonesia Accompanies the Long Journey of Empat Musim Pertiwi, From the International Festival Stages to Indonesian Cinemas

Through its support for Kamila Andini’s film, Oriflame Indonesia reinforces its commitment to women empowerment, storytelling, and the collective strength born of community and collaboration.

Jakarta, 25 September 2026 – Oriflame Indonesia is lending its support to Empat Musim Pertiwi, written and directed by Kamila Andini and produced by Forka Films.

The film has been officially selected as Indonesia’s entry for Best International Feature Film at the 99th Academy Awards (Oscars 2027), a milestone that further strengthens the standing of Indonesian storytelling on the global stage.

For Oriflame Indonesia, supporting Empat Musim Pertiwi is part of a long journey. The company stood beside the film long before its name was spoken on the international stage and will continue supporting it through its release in Indonesian cinemas.

This collaboration reflects Oriflame’s belief in the power of women’s stories, the courage to rise again, and the importance of creating space for Indonesian women’s voices to be heard more widely.

A Story of Healing, Resilience and Self-Discovery

Empat Musim Pertiwi follows the story of Pertiwi, a woman who returns to her hometown after two decades and must confront the wounds, rejection, and experiences that shaped her life.

Through her journey, the film explores healing, resilience, and the courage to rediscover the meaning of home, family, and peace.

Pertiwi’s story resonates deeply with Oriflame’s longstanding belief that every woman has the power to grow, define her own path, and build confidence through life’s challenges.

For Oriflame, beauty is not only about appearance. It is also about the courage to express oneself, create opportunities, and continue growing through every season of life.

“Oriflame Indonesia’s support for Empat Musim Pertiwi springs from values very close to us: women empowerment, resilience, and the strength of community. The film reminds us that women have the power to endure, to heal, and to find their light again, even after the hardest of times. For Oriflame, this is the deeper meaning of beauty: courage, confidence, and the strength to be oneself.”

Fredrik Nilsson, Vice President & General Manager, Oriflame Indonesia

The Power of Community and Collaboration

This support also reflects the importance of collective strength in creating meaningful impact.

Empat Musim Pertiwi was brought to life through the collaboration of filmmakers, actors, crew members, partners, and communities working together to share an Indonesian story with global audiences.

That spirit mirrors Oriflame’s own journey alongside its community of Brand Partners across Indonesia, where success is built on collaboration, support, and the belief that individuals are stronger together.

From Cannes to the World Stage

The film’s international momentum began at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, where Kamila Andini was selected for the Women in Cinema Spotlight programme organised by the Red Sea Film Foundation.

Her participation highlighted the growing recognition of Asian women filmmakers and the importance of women’s representation in shaping cultural narratives through cinema.

The journey of Empat Musim Pertiwi continued with selections at several prestigious international festivals:

  • Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2026 – Centrepiece Programme
  • Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) 2026 – A Window on Asian Cinema
  • Tokyo International Film Festival 2026 – CROSSCUT ASIA+, spotlighting Southeast Asian cinema and cross-border collaboration

The film also received international recognition at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) 2026, earning a nomination for Best Cinematography for cinematographer Batara Goempar.

Together, these achievements demonstrate how a story deeply rooted in Indonesian culture can resonate universally through themes of resilience, justice, healing, and community.

“Every time this film is screened in another country, I see audiences recognising themselves in Pertiwi. It reminds me that stories of Indonesian women are never too small for any stage. I am also grateful that there is a brand like Oriflame that is relevant to this story, one that believes in and supports this journey.”

Coming Soon to Indonesian Cinemas

Empat Musim Pertiwi will hold its Gala Premiere on 2 October 2026 and opens in cinemas across Indonesia on 8 October 2026.

Through this collaboration, Oriflame Indonesia hopes to continue supporting creative initiatives that generate positive impact and encourage meaningful conversations around women, resilience, and personal growth.

The partnership reflects Oriflame’s ongoing commitment to celebrating beauty as a source of confidence, self-expression, and empowerment.

Formulation and Packaging

Our product formulations have an environmental impact during production, as well as during and following consumer usage. If not responsibly formulated, they may have a long-term impact on people and ecosystems both up and downstream in our value chain. This is why we need to take the right decisions regarding which ingredients we select as part of the formulation development.

Our product packaging has an environmental impact, both during production and disposal, and can contribute to the pollution of land and waterbodies downstream in our value chain, affecting ecosystems and local communities, including their human rights.
