We support the wellbeing of people around the world

People-Powered Community

Our commitment to social sustainability is an ongoing one. We are aware of the actual impact and potential influence we have on people around the world – from our consumers and Brand Partners to our employees and our suppliers’ employees. As an important part of our sustainability strategy, we address topics such as human rights in our supply chain, consumer safety, and the health and safety of our employees.

Human rights

We have impact and influence on people around the world. With operations in more than 60 countries and a supplier base with a broad geographical footprint, our business activities are impacting many people across our value chain, including their social, economic or environmental resources. Oriflame must guarantee that the human rights of our employees, as well as the people touched by our business activities, are respected under all circumstances and at all stages of our value chain. Forced labour, child labour and modern slavery are clearly and strictly prohibited within Oriflame.

Consumer safety

We never compromise on the safety of our consumers. Our consumers’ wellbeing is of paramount importance to us.

To avoid negative impacts on the health and safety of our consumers, as well as on the environment and ecosystems, our products are developed following the highest European and international standards.

People and culture

We have around 4,000 employees around the world. They work across the different areas of our business and have a broad range of expertise, such as marketing, science, event management and manufacturing – to name just a few.
Oriflame is committed to ensuring equal opportunities for men and women across our workforce. And in order to provide all our employees with the possibility to develop professionally – we provide a wide variety of training programmes and courses.

Benefiting the community and the environment

We were the first beauty company to provide long-term support through Peace Renewable Electricity Credits, funding solar panels in Maijaki, Nigeria, supplying renewable electricity and empowering local women.

Formulation and Packaging

Our product formulations have an environmental impact during production, as well as during and following consumer usage. If not responsibly formulated, they may have a long-term impact on people and ecosystems both up and downstream in our value chain. This is why we need to take the right decisions regarding which ingredients we select as part of the formulation development.

Our product packaging has an environmental impact, both during production and disposal, and can contribute to the pollution of land and waterbodies downstream in our value chain, affecting ecosystems and local communities, including their human rights.
